For your club, what does motorcycling stand for?
Motorcycling to us can't be just defined with a mishmash of '850' characters. It has been added to our blood, our basic needs and to our physique too. We never stand with those daily law breaking verses, indeed we try to implement as much in our club. More than a biking club, it's rather a brotherhood.! Motorcycling is all about your attitude, dignity on roads. We never rely on the type of ride our members have, reasonably we keep a check on the way they use it.
Tell us briefly about the motorcycling ethics followed collectively by your club especially when related to practicing and promoting safe motorcycling?
There are some, first of all, we are stern on keeping newbies back along the lineup. We do appoint two moderators to the middle part to keep a check on speed. The group leader leads the line. Say a crowded area or a near a school, we do always slow down for the passerby to cross the road. Various hand signals are being used and majority of them are being also taught to newbies. Night rides are once in a blue moon, bikes with projector lights are always held back. We strictly adhere everyone to dim their heads unless it's a dark road. Indicator lights are an another part of moral codes.
How would you justify the inherent dangers and risk involved in riding motorcycles?
Dangers and Risks are a daily routine of a biker's life. A true biker is less often to fall into such. Practically, most of our roads add a recipe to such havoc's. High time that we got out of the notion that only a guy who breaks the speed limits is the'hero'. Currently, the teenagers who forks around the city are more prone to such, in turn making the ped's life too into danger.
Tell us briefly about the 2 most memorable/important motorcycling events organized by or participated in by your club?
We have had our last Vishu celebration with AMMA, regional autism treatment center. There we had dancers, singers, poets and some real talented ones, we must say. We have decided to hold up a blood donating camp on October 27th, as on 28th our Club reputes up by 1 year old. We are yet to start an another Eye donation affidavit signing campaign in the near future.
How has your motorcycling club contributed to the society/brotherhood and plan to do so in the years to come?
We are currently discussing on photographing the worse conditions of our roads and feature it in a reputed maganize, as well as on our page too. We'll too be reporting the over use of bright lights on highways to the concerned authorities.t
What are the best and the worst things about motorcycling in India?
The best part is that, there are teens and youngsters that consider biking as divine. There are still people who gives hand whenever they see a trouble caught person up ahead. The worse fact is that, the attitude possessed by many of the riders in India. Heroism everywhere.!
