For you, what does it mean to be a motorcyclist?

"I am a wanderer passionately in love with life."Aleksandr Kuprin
I call myself a wanderer because i simply wander!most journeys have a destination, well mine doesn't most of the time.,like just the other day it was pouring cats and dogs in Chennai & I was seated in front of my PC trying hard to finish some work and then suddenly, this urge to go Zipping on my Racing Blue Yamaha!before I knew it;I was rain soaked along with my Precious buddy,i went on a long long drive to nowhere,I kept driving & driving like i was being chased by the lashing rains.Every journey is a learning experience,it inspires,it touches my soul & fills me with positivity towards life, there are times when I'm so lost within my thoughts that i don't realize how long I've been Riding,or how far I've gone ,but who cares! Every journey is a serendipity.I learn,I live

How has motorcycling changed you and your life?

Motorcycling has transformed every aspect of my existence an also the way i glimpse at life. The positive energy that engulfs me while I'm on my wheels and the many experiences i envisage through all my travels has evolved my thinking and my very being.Ive grown into a better human being .,responsible, mature on the road, even responsible to my country.Riding a bike gives me strength to go from one place to another without loss of enthusiasm even at work, once i had a meeting to attend at Bangalore i remember not wasting my time checking out tickets online.I jumped on my bike and zipped away to the Silicone valley of India, when i reached my destination my colleagues were awestruck as i removed my helmet and Racing Jacket & in a minute was in my formals ready for the meeting.I have my beautiful Bike, that can take me anywhere any place anytime

How would you justify the inherent dangers and risk involved in long distance touring on motorcycles?

Motorcycling being part of my life ,but topping my list of priorities while i am on the road is "Safety" towards others on the road,Safety to my own life. I believe in being a responsible citizen and passion is personal i don't need to be rash and prove myself to anybody therefore when I'm on the wheel i always tell myself that the person driving in the opposite direction is not as experienced as i am so ensure that i give way every time.
i also strongly believe that youngsters nowadays with very little experience are into sophisticated bikes, while i understand there excitement and passion about owning and riding sleek bikes, they should be well educated on road safety for themselves and for others. Therefore bike brands should take it as their obligation to train youngsters and give them the necessary information and knowledge

Tell us briefly about your 2 most memorable motorcycle tours?

The day i got my Smashing Dashing Super Edgy Racing Blue Yamaha,it certainly called for a celebration.I picked up my Biking gear to match my blue wonder.
Accompanied with my best buddy we were riding along the Bangalore highway. We had a amazingly smooth and easy ride all the way to the heart of Bangalore. After i reached the city ,it was just not enough,we were back on the road riding towards Nandi Hills.Hilly Terrains are beautiful and picturesque to view while riding. My Blue Beauty looked even more beautiful while riding through clouds with chill breezes drifting through the hills. Finally at sun down i reached the summit. For a moment it was just me and my R15.It felt like we were the only existence on earth.i felt like a king with my beauty beside me.My R15 is born to be a legend.
My 2nd Moment was same but different Destination

As a motorcycle tourer, how have you contributed to the society/brotherhood and plan to do so in the years to come?

I'm a motorcyclist with a cause!
I ve grown up with this deep rooted compassion to help the underprivileged ,my long drives to villages where there are orphanages with no support or Ngos ,sometimes it's not about money or food it's about love and bonding with children with no families to visit them. My bike has seen many such happy children.
As a motorist I want to contribute to budding motorists, i want to train young motorists just like my father helped me harness my passion. So that in the future we have a breed of truly bread, sound and well trained motorists who share the same drive for Speed, Passion and Safety!!!

What are the best and the worst things about motorcycle touring in India?

Passion towards motorcycling is more in India these days, however good mechanics, safety measures has to be implemented more in India .Motorcycles are used as a means of transport rather than a passion for most people in India. Just like a wine taster who educates people on the best wines i would also like to educate motorists on how to handle a bike with love. Bad roads and poor infrastructure in our country also play spoil sport to motorcycling. Over speeding has to be limited to specific roads and routes because our roads are still not well connected in some parts of our country.
