Falcons Motor Sports Club
For your club, what does motorcycling stand for?
For us, motorcycling is not only the medium of trasportation but also the medium to unite the bikers as well to strengthen the biking brotherhood throughout the world.
Tell us briefly about the motorcycling ethics followed collectively by your club especially when related to practicing and promoting safe motorcycling?
Our club ensures safe biking by following the proper traffic rules.
It encourages the riders to ride with proper gears like helmets, shoes, knee guards, elbow guards etc.
It also ensures that the riders are carrying valid documents with them while riding.
We take an active part in promoting safe biking through road safety camps.
How would you justify the inherent dangers and risk involved in riding motorcycles?
Their is always a risk if we ride a bike but the chances of accident can b reduced to the minimum if we follow the traffic rules and wear proper safety gears while riding.
Tell us briefly about the 2 most memorable/important motorcycling events organized by or participated in by your club?
1. An unplanned visit of Team Xbhp during their Grand Indian Roadtrip(GIR) 2013 to our hometown Burdwan, and we welcomed them and again it was a sudden plan to ride with the GIR team through the town towards the 108 Lord Shiva Temple, however at the end of the day, the GIR team was glad with our reception and appreciated us a lot.
2.We have organised a grand bikers meet where about 600 bikers gathered at one place to pay a tribute to Sir Gottileb Diamler and to redifine the biking brotherhood in Bengal
How has your motorcycling club contributed to the society/brotherhood and plan to do so in the years to come?
We organised blood donation camps, anti drugs rally, promotion of education for all, road safety camps and other social awareness campaigns etc.
Last year on 15th august, we have organised a charity programme by donating educational materials and other edible stuffs among about 400 students in 3 different rural schools.
in the near future we are planning to carry out the same activities in a larger scale.
What are the best and the worst things about motorcycling in India?
Best:- we have got some biking idols like, Mr.Sundeep Gajjar, Dr.Arun Thareja, Mr.Vishnu Mehta etc. who always encourages and motivates us in the best possible way as far as biking is concerned. As well as provides us a platform to show our Biking skills and redefine our passion.
Worst:- The roads are not upto the mark in most parts of India.
most bikers couldnot follow traffic rules and donot wear proper safety gears while riding.
And last but not the least, most bikers use their bike ONLY as a medium of transportation.
