For you, what does it mean to be a motorcycle stunter?
For me Stunt riding is a religion.I do it by heart and soul, I respect it and I spread proper riding in my community club and town. I always focus to make this noble sport familiar and safe so that it can gain maximum people support and respect here in India.
How has motorcycling changed you and your life?
I was crazy about motorcycling since i was a child, And as i grew up it became more intense in me.After gaining my driving licence i started discovering myself on the motorbike, That time i was in Ranchi (jharkhand). Stunt riding has helped to gain lot of respect in my town and at the same time it has made me strong enough to handle adverse situations in my life also. I try to apply the stunt riding emotions in my life which helps me to act more practical and organised.I would say it has brought a great change in my personality as well as in my lifestyle.I enjoy every moment of riding.Right now i am in Pune city and pursuing MBA. but here also whenever i get time i often go to near by spots to enjoy motorcycling.
How would you justify the inherent dangers and risk involved in stunting on motorcycles?
Stunt riding is a dangerous sports it involves risk at every level so if you ignore protection and safety you are likely to hurt yourself.
So one must always keep his mind cool, calm, cautious and concentrate while performing stunts on a motorcycle.I call it the 4C's in stunt riding.
Though injuries are a part of this sport, After all 'No pain no Gain'.
Tell us briefly about your 2 most memorable stunt performances?
Once i was performing in a local stunt show with my team.so after the show an old person came to me and gave me Rs 21 as a token of respect and love for what we were best at, and said that he has not much to give as he liked the show and he could give only this that he had. so this was the best gift i ever had in my stunt riding career.
The second memorable performance was during a media show at my home town Ranchi, I was performing stunts with my team when we noticed that some policemen were watching us from far away and after some time during the interviews and talks they approached us and asked to click a photo with our team.
so these 2 of the moments were the best as in concerned with this sports, because this was something which was least expected.
What has been the biggest highlight of your racing career so far?
I have never been in racing. But its my hearty desire to get in professional racing.Hope someday i'll give life to my dreams.
As a stunter, how have you contributed to the society/brotherhood and plan to do so in the years to come?
As a stunter i have'nt contributed much to the society. But how far brotherhood is concerned here as a stunter i run a group named Club Zapperz, in this i have taught stunt riding tricks to almost all my team mates to whatever extent i know about stunt riding. Further We always look forward to help the enthusiasts and even the other groups from my town, because from my point of view if we tell them what to do then we can reduce the chance of accidents and mishaps which generally takes place in the initial stage of stunt riding. So awareness is the first step to safety.
What are the best and the worst things about motorcycle stunting in India?
The best things are that we have riders we have enthusiasts who really dedicates themselves to the sports.
But at the same time there more of hooligans and rowdies who brings a bad name to the sports in the society.
Golden Question : How do you feel when you ride?
I feel free.. For me its Just Freedom.. And I cherish every moment of it..
