For you, what does it mean to be a motorcyclist?

For me,being a motorcyclist means a lot. I don't use my bike for just moving from one point to another,i don't see my bike that way. Every ride atop my bike is special, be it inside the city or on highway. That's why when a need rises for me to go out, just like an astrologist or religious people i checks out things like - whether bike is OK,clean, polished and even, am i ready or not(bathed, good dress,Helmet...)
Me as a motorcyclist, means a calm, quiet person on the road, abiding well to the road rules, trying to have as much patience as possible and having an attitude of sharing the road in mind , getting recognized among my circle of friends as the crazy guy who has an extreme passion for long distances on two wheels irrespective of climate,clock-time or destination.

How has motorcycling changed you and your life?

xBhp sowed the seeds of a Biker into my heart and i will cherish this fact till the end of my life.
Its been two and a half years since i have got my bike. Thinking back through the days with her,i cant imagine how my life would have turned out without my set of two wheels. Because i had spent so much of my time with her, often discarding my studies and parents. No regrets, but that was the truth.
During times when fate bound my life to chains of loneliness,drawbacks,society.. most of the times,it was my sweet bike that helped me to come out and get synchronized with the outside world. It still is and will be.

How would you justify the inherent dangers and risk involved in long distance touring on motorcycles?

Long distance motorcycling has its own share of risks and dangers. Let me add 2 popular quotes-
1. Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
2. You can never cross the ocean if you don't have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

After the completion of each ride,we all have experienced that unique joy-filled moments of achievement and satisfaction,
unmatched to anything else in this world. Right at that moment we realize that every risks/pains which we undertook before and during the ride was all Worth it.
And for me,i always prefer or is much comfortable riding down to places where i want to go ,than by any other means of transport.

Tell us briefly about your 2 most memorable motorcycle tours?

1.March14,2012- a single day solo trip, around 600 km,from my hometown triavndrum to madurai and back.
I like to name this ride as Solo madness. Purposes of the ride was simple-to go till madurai city through the forest route, click many photos,to buy dress for pappa and mummy,to get back home via NH7 after witnessing sunset at kanyakumari.
2.June 17-23,2012- a week spent with my bike in the hills of munnar and valparai ,a 1200 km trip.
This was the most memorable and cherishing bike trip for me till now.I was going to a hill station for the first time and on my bike. Staying away from home after a long time, the high range roads, hairpin bends, green carpeted tea estates, getting drenched in rain and riding, that Views en-route to Valparai, entering the 80 km forest range at 5 pm and getting scared to shit in the middle of nowhere.....

Golden Question : How do you feel when you ride?

I don't take riding as granted. There always exists many fears inside me-fear of falling, fear of making mistakes or getting hit by rash drivers. It is this concept of fear which works out to give me a sense of adventure/achievement at the end of each rideday and i feel like i survived another day in the battlefield. While riding,I often try to imagine the working of pistons, valves and the powerstroke beat at crankshaft felt through the foot pegs. The pampering feel of wind breeze is something which has always gifted me the scent of freedom.. And Finally, I love to watch the way, world moves around me, from the saddle of my motorcycle.
